The Waterfront restaurant is located in the historic village of Woods Hole in the town of Falmouth on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Visitors from off-Cape can reach Falmouth by crossing over the Bourne Bridge on Route 495/25. At the base of the bridge, follow the rotary straight across to Route 28 and follow it for approximately 10 miles until the divided highway ends and you arrive at a set of traffic lights in the town of Falmouth.

Continue through the set of lights for 1/2 mile where Route 28 forks and you must bear RIGHT. Woods Hole is 4 miles down this road. You will pass through one more set of lights.

As you arrive in Woods Hole the docks and exits of the Steamship Authority will be ahead on your left Follow the road to the right into the village. Woods Hole is a small village dominated by the large research laboratories of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, The Marine Biological Laboratory, and the National Marine Fisheries Service. Dividing the main street of Water Street is a small drawbridge that enters into Eel Pond.
